Illness Care FAQs

Should I withhold food before an illness exam?

Unless your pet is diabetic or a very young puppy/kitten, withholding food for 3-4 hours prior helps if bloodwork, sedation, or fasting X-rays are required.

What should I bring to the clinic?

Bring any medications your pet is currently receiving, photos of vomit/stool if relevant, and notes on food or treats given in the last 48 hours.
