Call Montrose Pet ClinicPreventive Care FAQs
How often does my adult pet need a wellness exam?
Healthy adult dogs and cats should visit at least once per year. Pets aged seven and older benefit from biannual checkups to manage senior wellness.
Are all vaccines administered at the same time?
We tailor the schedule to your pet's physical condition and comfort. If your pet has sensitivities, we can safely separate boosters across two visits.
What should I bring to our first appointment?
Please bring any previous vaccine paperwork, adoption records, names of current foods or medications, and a fresh stool sample if requested.
Do indoor cats really need vaccines and tick prevention?
Yes. Indoor cats can be exposed to bugs, open balcony spaces, escape risks, or bacteria brought into the home on shoes and clothing.
How do the Wellness Plans work?
Our Puppy & Kitten, Annual Wellness, Senior, and Dental Plans bundle preventative care into convenient monthly payments. Visit our online store or ask our team which plan fits your pet.
Is pet insurance different from a wellness plan?
Yes. Wellness plans cover routine preventative care, while pet insurance helps with unexpected accidents and illnesses. We work with all Canadian insurers and can submit claims for you.
